Beyond Yoga

I love movement of all kinds. Besides yoga I also teach and practice many other movement practices for a diverse movement diet. For more information on my other projects outside of the scope of yoga, click here!

I originally directed my energy and education on Art and Film, focusing on drawing, painting and concept art. I later began working on feature films and television productions which inspired a pivot to production management. During this time, I was actively practicing yoga and began working with transcendental meditation in Los Angeles. After I left my work in film & television, I worked for and consulted for several companies from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz, including Mantra Films, Treehouse, La Vida Verde and many more. I owned and operated an accounting firm for several years that serviced small to medium sized businesses throughout California.

After a move to the east coast I had the pleasure of serving the Monadnock Food Co-Op and Hanna Grimes Center For Entrepreneurship before leaving behind my career in accounting and business consulting. Years ago, my husband asked me if I could do anything with my days, what would I do.. I told him, teach yoga, take care of my family and my home and run a hobby farm. Now I get to do just that! I grow my own medicinal herbs, edible flowers, fruits and vegetables, I have honey bees, goats for milking and lots of poultry that I raise. In the winter months, if my nose isn’t in a book or busy making stuff, you can find me on the snowmobile trails or making maple syrup (like a true New Englander). I also love to cook and bake and am often in the kitchen creating meals with love for my friends and family.

I enjoy performance art in various forms, from improv comedy to burlesque and sketch comedy. I have produced comedy shows, burlesque shows and many other events in the monadnock region.

I am passionate about movement science, cosmology, physics, neurobiology, philosophy, human performance, religion and theology and human behavior.
