“It is as difficult to explain prana as it is to explain god”

-BKS Iyengar

There are so many options when it comes to breathing programs and pranayama.

I have invested hundreds of hours researching, practicing and facilitating several breathing techniques. I teach two distinct paths of breath technique, Intentional Breath and Radical Prana.

My approach with Intentional Breath is goal oriented, specific, gradual and buildable. We will start with an observation of your current breathing patterns and habits and then identify any variations in those observations under specific conditions. Once the observation is complete, we then work on directing breath in order to achieve the desired outcome. While this approach is holistic, the process and results are more measurable and follows techniques with years of study and data and is less involved in mystic or yogic philosophy.

With Radical Prana, we are using breath as a way to explore the subtle and physical body. I will use techniques that will encourage an enhanced sensory experience during the practice. We will move into using the new found sensory ability to explore changes to the sensory experience under specific conditions and visualizations. We will combine imagery, movement and breath work as we develop tools to increase resilience and awareness.
